KEEP YOUR PRAYERS SIMPLE - INDIVIDUAL LESSON
When Jesus’ disciples asked Him to teach them to pray, Jesus taught them that it wasn’t about being outwardly showy or being seen by others; and it wasn’t about using a lot of useless words either. Jesus taught that prayer wasn’t complicated, but rather, simple. That is good news especially for kids because in their simplicity they also have the ability to draw close to God in prayer and know that He hears them every time they talk to Him.
Memory Verse: “And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” - Matthew 6:7-8 (NIV)
